2019-2020 Transportation Info

 

  1. Complete your child’s online registration by August 17th.

  2. Come in to the Clubhouse by 6pm on August 19th to complete our Transportation Program Application and pay for both your child’s membership tuition and the first and last months of transportation service.

  3. Give us two business days to process your child’s registration.

 

If you fail to complete these steps by the required dates, your child’s transportation service will not start until the second week of school (Monday, September 9th)

Transportation Cost

Shelton School members          FREE

Derby School members             $40/child/month (3rd child free)

 

Shelton School Bus Before School

If your child is from Perry Hill, Long Hill, or Sunnyside school and will attend our before school program at the Shelton Clubhouse, they will be picked up by a Shelton school bus at the Clubhouse and taken to school. Shelton school buses will transport members in inclement weather for delayed openings; see our Snow Days, Delays, Early Dismissals, Notifications page for important information. 

 

Shelton School Bus After School

Shelton public schools (except Shelton High) are brought to our Clubhouse in the afternoon by Shelton school bus. If you would like your child to ride the Shelton school bus, you must write your school a letter stating that your child has permission to ride the bus for the school year. Shelton school buses will transport members in inclement weather and for half days. Shelton High members may apply for van service; see below for complete information.

 

Transportation Service

Register IN PERSON at the Clubhouse AFTER completing  ONLINE MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

Shelton High and Derby public schools are offered van service by our  Boys & Girls Club. Transportation cost is $40 per month per child (third child free). The first month must be prepaid, and your child's monthly or yearly tuition must also be paid for when registering for transportation service. If your child is riding the van to our Clubhouse, you must write your school a letter stating that your child has permission to ride the van for the school year. Transportation is first-come, first-served; therefore, transportation registration must be done in person. Our vans do not run in inclement weather; see our Snow Days, Delays, Early Dismissals, Notifications page for important information.

 

  • Read our Parent Handbook before filling out your child's online Membership Application; this is required for membership.

  • Complete your child's online Membership Application. 

  • Come in to complete our Transportation Program Application (or download by clicking here or the image to the right; do not separate the pages) and pay for both your child's membership tuition and the first and last months of transportation service.

  • Write your child's school a letter stating that your child has permission to ride the Boys & Girls Club van for the school year
